Our Learning Ethos

Enjoy, Learn, Achieve….

Vision

Our vision is for all Grundisburgh children to become well rounded, independent, life-long learners, who will become citizens of the future, contributing positively to society.

Ethos

At Grundisburgh Primary School we believe that every child must be provided with opportunities to develop socially, emotionally, academically and physically to achieve the highest possible standards. We are an inclusive learning community that is committed to ensuring that all of the children in our care are happy, enthusiastic and purposeful learners.

Strategic Direction

The school will develop our children to be:

Confident: We aim to develop our children’s self-esteem and promote a happy, healthy lifestyle. Through nurturing children will feel safe and secure with the confidence to achieve their full potential. With guidance, they will be able to celebrate their strengths and recognise the areas in which they can improve.

Able to meet future challenges: Our curriculum will give the children the skills they need, encourage them to have aspirations and ambitions. We will prepare our children for an ever-changing world where they develop the skills and resilience to overcome challenges.

Responsible members of the community: We aim for our children to be respectful, polite and tolerant of others with the ability to work in teams and communicate their ideas effectively. We encourage older children to be role models who take pride in leading by example.

Effective learners: We endeavour to promote independence by creating a positive learning environment where children ask questions, thrive on challenge and aren’t afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Children will be motivated to try their best and the school community will celebrate their successes.
