Mental Health Support

At Grundisburgh Primary School we believe in putting the whole child first. We understand the importance of children feeling safe and happy. Recently we have put a lot of emphasis into Wellbeing and Mental Health training our own staff to ensure we are equipped to deal with issues that arise or can help children and families with outside support where needed.

We have a Pastoral Lead who is on hand to help. This is Ms Redgwell. You can telephone the school to speak to Ms Redgwell or email pastoral@grundisburgh.suffolk.sch.uk

We have two members of staff who are trained in Draw and Talk therapy.
We have two Lead Thrive Practitioners.
We have one member of staff who is trained in Bereavement Counselling skills.
We run a Mindfullness Club and are training a member of staff who can teach Yoga and Mindfullness to all children.

As a school, we are committed to promoting and enhancing wellbeing for all. This is why, as a school we have signed up to the DfE Wellbeing Charter to support all who work in education at Grundisburgh. This sets out our commitments to the wellbeing and mental health of all who work for us.
