Online Safety

Keeping children safe online is a top priority. Our whole-school approach protects and educates pupils, students, and staff, and ensures concerns are identified and addressed quickly.

Online safety risks fall into four main areas:

  • Content: Exposure to harmful or illegal material, such as pornography, fake news, racism, self-harm, or extremism.

  • Contact: Harmful interactions with others online, including peer pressure, grooming, or exploitation.

  • Conduct: Risky online behaviour, such as sharing explicit images or cyberbullying.

  • Commerce: Risks from online gambling, scams, phishing, or inappropriate advertising.

If you suspect anyone is at risk, you can report it to the Anti-Phishing Working Group: https://apwg.org/

We teach the children about Online Safety throughout our curriculum at an age appropriate level. Please see Mr Wilson if you would like to know a good, age appropriate resource or video that you can share with your child to raise awareness with them at home or attend one of our Online Safety evenings for more information.
